The Myths & Legends: Maid Marian 10 oz Silver Coin 2023 depicts Robin Hood's beloved. In English folklore, this female character was known for her courage, loyalty, and unparalleled beauty. Maid Marian is considered one of the first strong female characters in English literature. The coin is the second in the Myths & Legends series. It is minted from pure Ag.999 silver, weighs 10 troy ounces and has a diameter of 89 mm. It is issued by the renowned and trusted precious metals manufacturer, The Royal Mint. Importantly, this silver coin has an unlimited mintage. Myths & Legends: Maid Marian is a product guaranteed by the UK government and is legal tender in the country of issue. What's more, individual coins are shipped in protective capsules. The obverse features a portrait of King Charles III of Great Britain, designed by Martin Jennings. It also features information about the coin's face value. The reverse of the silver coin depicts the heroine of folk legends, Maid Marian, with a quiver full of arrows on her back, in the middle of Sherwood Forest. The reverse also features information about the weight, date of issue, and purity of the metal, as well as the inscription “MAID MARIAN.” The reverse was designed by Jody Clark.Designer
