Lunar II is a series of 12 coins featuring the zodiac animals from the Chinese lunar calendar. Each year, the coin is decorated with a different lunar animal.
The 2008 silver coin is minted from pure 999 fine silver. The Perth Mint, Australia's oldest mint, is responsible for its limited production of 300,000 pieces. In addition, the silver goat is guaranteed by the Australian government and is legal tender in the country of issue.
