The Cook Islands: Beijing – Temple of Heaven 5 oz Silver 2023 Ultra High Relief Antiqued Coin is an extremely interesting specimen, which has been made with great attention to every detail. The coin can be an addition to a collector's or investor's portfolio. The Temple of Heaven is considered the highest achievement of traditional Chinese architecture. The construction of the palace was completed in 1420, along with the Forbidden City in Beijing. Unfortunately, the original complex burned down in a fire caused by a lightning strike in 1889. A few years later, it was rebuilt identically to the original. The silver coin was minted from pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 5 troy ounces, in ultra high relief and antiqued standard. The mintage of the coin is 888 pieces. The product is legal tender in the Cook Islands. The obverse features an image of Queen Elizabeth II and the rear of the “Temple of Heaven” palace. The obverse also features the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “COOK ISLANDS,” and the denomination. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
