Faune africaine : Éléphant de Somalie 5 onces d'argent 2024
The Somali Elephant silver coin is the latest installment in the Somali Elephant series, which was created in 1999. Interestingly, the first coins in the series from 1999 were minted as coins guaranteed by the Zambian government. Coins minted after 2003 have a different guarantor, namely the Somali government. In addition, the Somali Elephant series of silver and gold coins is part of the African Wildlife collector's program. The 2024 silver coin was produced by the German precious metals manufacturer Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt, weighing 5 troy ounces, with a diameter of 65 mm and a fineness of Ag.9999. Furthermore, the African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant coins, which were produced after 2004, are legal tender and are guaranteed by the Somali government as to their legality, purity, and origin. The obverse features the coat of arms of Somalia, two leopards supporting a shield with a star, along with information about the year of minting and the denomination of the coin. The reverse shows male elephants fighting each other against the backdrop of the African savannah. The reverse side bears the inscriptions “AFRICAN WILDLIFE,” “ELEPHANT,” and information about the weight and purity of the metal.Fabricant
