Canada Set: 100th Anniversary of Jean-Paul Riopelle's Birth - Commemorative Collector Keepsake Card 7 coins 2023 is a commemorative set that commemorates the 100th anniversary of Jean-Paul Riopelle's birth. The artist used his art to push boundaries and attract the attention of critics and art lovers around the world. The coins are made of an alloy of copper and nickel, as well as bromine and aluminum. The coins have the following denominations: 2 dollars, 1 dollar, 25 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents. In order of highest denomination, the products have the following weights and diameters: 6.99 g and 28 mm, 6.27 g and 26.5 mm, 4.40 g and 23.88 mm, 1.75 g and 18.03 mm, 3.95 g and 21.20 mm. Each coin comes in individual packaging. This unique set was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint in a limited edition of 50,000 pieces. The coins are guaranteed by the Canadian government as to their legality, purity, and origin of the metal, and are legal tender in the country of issue. The obverse features the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “DG REGINA,” “1952-2022,” and the date of issue, designed by Susanna Blunt. The reverse sides feature information about the face value and the country of issue. Two $2 coins depict the monumental fresco L'Hommage à Rosa Luxemburg.
