The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III 1 oz Silver 2023 is a unique coin commemorating the first British coronation of the 21st century - that of Charles III. The monarch was born on November 14, 1948, and comes from the Windsor dynasty. He is the firstborn son of Queen Elizabeth II, who was his predecessor. The ceremony will take place on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey. The coin is minted from pure Ag.999 silver, weighs one troy ounce, and has a diameter of 38.61 mm. In addition, this extraordinary coin was produced by The Royal Mint in a mintage of 150,000 pieces. The coin is guaranteed by the British government as to its legality, purity, and origin of the metal, and is legal tender in the country of issue. The obverse features the image of King Charles III of Great Britain wearing a crown, the inscription “CHARLES III∙D∙G∙REX∙F∙D” and the denomination and year, designed by Martin Jennings. The reverse of the coin features the Royal Arms with a crown, surrounded by ornaments containing floral emblems of the four nations of the United Kingdom and the inscriptions “THE CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III” and “6 MAY 2023.” The reverse was designed by John Bergdahl.
