The Noah's Ark gold coin is a popular investment product, minted in 1 gram and with a purity of Au.9999. This interesting coin is issued by the Central Bank of Armenia. However, the production process itself takes place in a private German mint - Leipziger Edelmetall Verarbeitung. Coins bearing the image of the Ark are guaranteed by the government of the Republic of Armenia as to their legality, purity, and origin of the metal, and are legal tender in that country. The obverse of the coin, designed by Eduard Kurghinyan, depicts the ark on a stormy sea, with Mount Ararat in the background and the rising sun in the background. The name of the mountain comes from Ary, a Bronze Age deity. Ara was the god of death and rebirth. In the center of the coin is a dove flying over the waters of the flood, holding an olive branch in its beak. The edge of the coin bears the inscription “Noah's Ark” in English. The reverse of the coin features the coat of arms of Armenia with the denomination of 100 dram and the year of minting.
