Lovelace is considered to be the first person to have written a computer program. The product is made of Ag.925 silver, weighs 12 grams, has a diameter of 28.40 mm, and is in proof standard. In addition, the coin is gold-plated with yellow gold. Furthermore, this unique piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The product comes in its original packaging. The coin is guaranteed by the British government as to its legality, purity, and origin of the metal, and is legal tender in the country of issue. The obverse shows the image of King Charles III of Great Britain, the inscription “CHARLES III∙D∙G∙REX∙F∙D” and the denomination and year, according to the design by Martin Jennings. The reverse of the coin depicts the cards used to program the Analytical Engine. The reverse features the inscriptions “ADA LOVELACE,” “COMPUTER VISIONARY,” “1815-1852,” and “A DISCOVERER OF THE HIDDEN REALITIES OF NATURE.” The reverse was designed by Osborne Ross.Designer
