Vienna Philharmonic 1 oz Silver 2010
The Vienna Philharmonic has been produced by the Austrian Mint since 2008. Each coin in the silver series is a fully fledged legal tender, with a guarantee from the Austrian government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. It is also worth noting that the design of the Austrian coins, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, was created using computer graphics and then transferred directly to the coins.
The obverse is decorated with the legendary organ of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, the obverse features information on the face value, weight and year of minting.
Rewers depict the eight iconic instruments of the Austrian orchestra: four violins, cello, horn, bassoon and harp.
