The U.S. fifty-dollar banknote is a current denomination of the currency of the United States. The note measures 156 mm x 66 mm and has a face value – 50 dollars. Banknotes issued before 1990 do not contain a security thread or microprinting, which makes them easier to counterfeit compared to newer versions.

Obverse features a portrait of Ulysses S. Grant, an American general and the 18th President of the USA. Additionally, the obverse includes a security thread, the denomination, and the inscription "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".

Reverse depicts the United States Capitol building. The reverse also shows the banknote’s face value.
