Tuvalu: Gods of Olympus - Apollo 1 oz Silver 2023

The Gods of Olympus series is a notable offering from renowned precious metals producer The Perth Mint. The Gods of Olympus collection was first publicised in 2014 and sold out immediately. In 2020, there is a reissue of this remarkable collection.

The silver bullion coin depicting Apollo is a pure Ag.9999 bullion product, weighing one troy ounce and measuring 40.9mm in diameter. The 2023 coin is the ninth coin in the Gods of Olympus series. This coin is guaranteed by the Government of Tuvalu and is a fully fledged means of payment within the country. Importantly, it is a silver piece and has a strictly limited mintage of 13 500 pieces. It is therefore worth taking an interest in this coin, as well as the entire series.

The Averse of the silver coin shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and information about the face value, weight, mintage and date of issue. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Rewers shows the figure of Apollo holding a lyre, designed by Jennifer McKenna. In addition, the reverse features the inscription 'APOLLO' and the mint mark in the form of the letter 'P'.
