The Tutankhamun Discovery 100th Anniversary £5 Copper 2022 coin is an interesting numismatic offering depicting the pharaoh Tutankhamun. He reigned between 1333 and 1323 BC and was the pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. The 2022 coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the pharaoh's tomb, which took place in 1922 by English archaeologist Howard Carter. The product is minted in a copper-nickel alloy, weighing 28.28 grams and measuring 38.61 mm in diameter. The mintage of the coin is unlimited. In addition, this unusual piece has been produced by The Royal Mint. The product has been housed in its original packaging. The coin is guaranteed by the UK government as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuer's country. The Averse shows the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination and year, as designed by Jody Clark.

The Rewers of the coin depicts the pharaoh Tutankhamun. The reverse also features the inscription 'Discovery of Tutankhamun's Tomb'. Laura Clancy is responsible for the design of the reverse.
