Treasure Shipwrecks: Zeewijk 1 oz Silver 2021
The Zeewijk triangular coin is the fourth and final piece included in the remarkable Treasure Shipwrecks bullion series. The aforementioned series is an investment collection honoring once-sunken merchant ships such as Batavia, Zuytdorp, Vergulde Draeck and Zeewijk.
The silver Zeewijk is minted from pure Ag bullion.999, weighing one troy ounce. Minted quantity is limited to a maximum of 20,000 minted pieces. In addition, each coin comes in a dedicated mint cap. The Royal Australian Mint is responsible for issuing the latest currency in the Treasure Shipwrecks series. Moreover, the silver Zeewijk is guaranteed by the Australian government and is a full-fledged means of payment within the country of the issuer.
Obverse shows an illustration of the remains of the title ship. At the top is the figure of Queen Elizabeth II and information about the issuing country and the year the coin was struck.
Reverse shows the Zeewijk ship in its full splendor, against the backdrop of calm sea waters. When the coin is flipped 180 degrees, you can read the information about the weight and the attempted minting of the currency. In addition, the reverse side bears the inscription "Zeewijk " and the estimated date of the sinking of the ship "1727".
