The Tokelau: Komodo Dragon 1 oz Gold 2022 Proof is a unique product that depicts the Komodo Varanus. It is the largest living lizard in the world and has attracted human attention since its discovery in 1910. The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 bullion, weighing one troy ounce and measuring 32mm in diameter, in proof standard. The gold coin was produced by the Scottsdale Mint, in a low mintage of only 100 pieces, and is guaranteed by the Tokelau Government as to the purity of the bullion, legality and origin of the metal. The coin is also full legal tender in the issuing country.

The obverse of the gold coin shows the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions " ELIZABETH II" and "TOKELAU". The obverse also shows the weight, purity of the bullion and the face value of the coin. The Rewers depicts the Komodo Varanus against the island's nature. The reverse bears the inscription "KOMODO DRAGON".
