The Royal Tudor Beasts: Queen's Lion 1 ounce Platinum 2026
The Royal Tudor Beasts: Queen’s Lion 1 oz Platinum 2026 is an elegant bullion coin struck from one ounce of 999.5 fine platinum. It is part of the prestigious Royal Tudor Beasts series, inspired by the heraldic beast sculptures that guard the entrance to Hampton Court Palace – one of King Henry VIII’s most important residences.
The theme of this issue is the Queen’s Lion – a proud and powerful heraldic symbol created at the command of Henry VIII to mark his marriage to Jane Seymour. The lion holds a shield bearing Jane Seymour’s royal badge, symbolising her position and the legacy of the Tudor dynasty. The reverse was designed by acclaimed artist David Lawrence, in cooperation with Historic Royal Palaces, the institution responsible for preserving Britain’s most important royal residences.
The coin has a diameter of 32.69 mm, a weight of 31.1 g (1 oz), and a face value of £100. Its combination of historical significance and the investment character of platinum makes it appealing to both collectors and investors.
