The Siberian coin was created to commemorate all persons from Poland who were exiled to Siberia during the reign of both Tsarist Russia and the USSR. Exile to Siberia meant hard work, often ending in death. The coin is made of sterling silver with a purity of 925 and a weight of 14.14 g, in an edition of 135,000 pieces. In addition, a white stone resembling an ice crystal was placed in the lower part of the coin. The obverse depicts the image of an eagle, which represents the emblem of the Republic of Poland, next to which there are human figures symbolising prisoners sent to hard labour. Next to the silhouettes is the inscription " WE WERE THE FATHER OF THE SLAVES". From the obverse it is also possible to read the face value, the year and the text RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA.The reverse shows in the central part the inscription SYBIRACY, against the background of an illustration of a forest and its reflection.
