A silver coin bearing the likeness of the last king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Stanisław August Poniatowski. During his reign, a new state constitution was enacted on 3 May 1791. In accordance with the provisions of the constitution, the king stood at the head of the Guard of the Law, thus gaining leadership of Polish diplomacy and the state's foreign policy, as well as control over the activities of the executive authorities. It was the first constitution in Europe and the second in the world. The obverse depicts an illustration of an eagle representing the emblem of the Republic of Poland, the denomination and the minting year of the coin. Above is the inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA.The reverse depicts the effigy of Stanisław August Poniatowski.To the right is the royal monogram and the years of the king's life.
