St Helena: The Faerie Queene - Una & Redcrosse 1 oz Silver 2023 is another piece in the series 'The Faerie Queene'. The value refers to the work, the first book by Edmund Spenser, which tells the story of the knight Redcrosse concerning the rescue of Una's parents from the captivity of an evil dragon. The knight accomplished this action through the request of the Faerie Queen. The entire series will focus on various stories of knights, princesses, as well as mythical beasts, magical villains, honour, betrayal, love and loss.

The product has been made from pure Ag.999 sterling silver, weighing one troy ounce in diameter measuring 38.61mm. The respected precious metals producer The East India Company is responsible for its issuance and is full legal tender on the island of Saint Helena.

The obverse of the silver coin is decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ST. HELENA" and "ELIZABETH II". The obverse also shows the year of mintage and the face value of the coin. The designer of the obverse was Jody Clark.

Rewers of the coin depict an image of the seized Una and Redcrosse on horseback. In the background is a castle and a flying dragon. The reverse also bears the inscription 'THE FAERIE QUEENE'. The reverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz.
