St Helena: Boston Tea Party 250th Anniversary 1 oz Silver 2023
The silver coin was struck from pure Ag.999 bullion, with a weight of one troy ounce, and a diameter of 39 mm. The respected precious metals producer The East India Company is responsible for its issue and is full legal tender on the island of Saint Helena.
The obverse of the silver piece is decorated with the image of King Charles III of Great Britain, the inscription "CHARLES III∙D∙G∙REX∙F∙D" and "ST. HELENA". The obverse shows the face value, year of mintage, purity of the bullion and weight of the coin. The designer of the obverse was Glyn Davies. The Rewers of the coin shows a man holding a lamp against a ship, the inscriptions "THE BOSTON TEA PARTY", "DECEMBER 16TH 1773" by Joel Iskowitz.
