Silver Coin Strangers Among Us: Vincent van Gogh Colorized 1 oz Silver 2025
Strangers Among Us: Vincent van Gogh silver coin 2025
The Vincent van Gogh coin reimagines the painter as an otherworldly visitor in the Strangers Among Us series. His distinctive hat and face meet oversized alien eyes against a swirling night sky inspired by the language of his paintings. This is a creative fantasy portrait, not a reproduction of a specific Van Gogh canvas.
One ounce of fine silver
Issued for the Republic of Cameroon in 2025, the coin contains 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, approximately 31.1 g. It measures 40 mm across and has a face value of 1000 CFA francs. Proof-like quality brings out the engraved details. Only 1000 pieces were issued worldwide. The coin comes in a capsule with a box and certificate of authenticity; Mint XXI is the producer.
Art meets science fiction
Strangers Among Us plays with the idea that familiar cultural figures might conceal an extraordinary identity. Here, references to art history and science fiction meet in a vivid collectible design. The limited issue will appeal to collectors interested in both fine art and unusual space themes.
Obverse and reverse
The obverse shows a UFO above a landscape, alongside the Republic of Cameroon, 1000 CFA francs denomination and the year 2025. The reverse presents a coloured fantasy portrait of Vincent van Gogh in a hat with enlarged alien eyes beneath a star-filled sky.
