The coin is struck in .999 fine silver (Ag) with a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1 g) and a diameter of 38.61 mm. It carries a face value of 2 British pounds (£2) and a reeded edge. The coin is offered in mint condition and housed in a protective capsule.
The motif of St George fighting the dragon first appeared on English coins in 1526, on the so-called "George noble." The 2026 edition commemorates the 500th anniversary of this event, presenting a modern interpretation of the classic theme.
The reverse design by Sandra Deiana presents a dynamic scene of St George battling the dragon, combining traditional symbolism with a modern artistic style. Additional security features include microprinting and an inscription inspired by the historical original.
The coin has been produced to The Royal Mint’s bullion standard, ensuring high production quality and wide recognition on the investment market.
