The Norns Silver Coin: Mystery Box (random coin from the issue) 1 oz Silver 2026 is a unique offering prepared by Germania Mint, combining collector excitement with an element of surprise. Each set contains one randomly selected coin from the Norns series, inspired by the Norse goddesses of destiny. All variants were struck from 1 troy ounce of pure Ag 9999 silver, feature a fictional face value of 5 Mark, and have a diameter of 38.61 mm. The total mintage of the entire issue is limited to just 1,000 pieces.
In Norse mythology, the Norns – Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld – spun the threads of human fate at the foot of the world tree Yggdrasil. They symbolized the past, the present, and the future, reminding us that every decision influences the course of events to come. The series draws on this timeless symbolism, portraying the goddesses as guardians of destiny and protectors of the world’s order.
The coin is housed in a protective lens capsule, which showcases the piece while also protecting it from damage. The entire set comes in a specially designed Mystery Box packaging together with a certificate of authenticity. Obverse depicts the three sisters – the Norns – shown at the foot of the legendary world tree Yggdrasil, in a composition characteristic of the series, referencing Norse mythology and the symbolism of destiny.
Reverse features the Germania Mint double-headed eagle, surrounded by the roots of Yggdrasil and golden threads of fate, partially broken, symbolizing the influence of the past and the possibility of shaping the future.
