Dune Silver Coin – House Atreides Coloured 1/2 oz Silver 2026 Proof is an official collector’s issue from The Perth Mint, inspired by the film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic novel “Dune”. Struck from 1/2 oz of .9999 fine silver in the highest Proof minting quality, the coin pays tribute to one of the most influential works of science fiction literature and its award-winning screen adaptation.

The story follows Paul Atreides, the young heir of House Atreides, who arrives on the desert planet Arrakis – the only place in the universe where the priceless spice melange can be found. The struggle for control over this precious resource leads to conflict between powerful noble houses, and Paul must confront his own destiny to secure the future of his family and all humanity. The film adaptation by Legendary Entertainment won eight Academy Awards and earned acclaim from both critics and audiences around the world.

The coin is struck from 1/2 oz of .9999 fine silver, measures 36.55 mm in diameter, and has a face value of 0.50 TVD. The worldwide mintage is limited to just 2,500 pieces. Each coin is presented in an original cork display case featuring the Dune logo and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Obverse: features the official effigy of King Charles III by Jody Clark, along with the coin’s weight, silver fineness, face value, and year of issue.

Reverse, designed by Sean Rogers, depicts a coloured image of Paul Atreides holding the distinctive crysknife. He is accompanied by Duncan Idaho, Lady Jessica, and Gurney Halleck – the most important members of House Atreides. In the background are the desert dunes and a sandstorm of the planet Arrakis, while the House Atreides crest occupies the central position in the composition. The design is completed by the Dune logo and The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark.
