Silver Coin 3 Levels of Japan Coloured 2 oz Silver 2026 Black Proof
Silver Coin 3 Levels of Japan Coloured 2 oz Silver 2026 Black Proof is an exceptional piece presenting Japan as a place where centuries-old tradition harmoniously coexists with modernity. The multi-level composition combines characteristic elements of Japanese metropolises, sacred architecture, and landscape with the majestic Mount Fuji.
Three levels of Japan in spatial relief
The coin was struck from 2 ounces of .9999 fine silver using smartminting® technology, allowing for impressive relief depth and a wealth of detail. The Black Proof finish contrasts with the intensely coloured fragments of the composition. This Cook Islands piece has a diameter of 50 mm, a face value of 10 dollars, and an extremely low mintage of only 777 pieces worldwide.
Coin design
Obverse in the upper part features the effigy of King Charles III along with the official Cook Islands issuing inscriptions and the face value. The remaining surface is filled with an elaborate motif of a modern Japanese city, stylistically referring to the scene shown on the reverse and emphasizing the consistency of the entire composition.
Reverse depicts Japan on three spatial levels. The elaborate scene presents a modern metropolis with illuminated buildings and a metro station, traditional temples, and Mount Fuji rising in the background. The multi-layered relief and coloured details symbolize the extraordinary combination of tradition, spirituality, and contemporary life in Japan.
