Rwanda: African Ounce - Hippo 1 oz Silver 2017
A 1 oz silver coin from the 2017 African ounce series. This collector coin is made of 999 pure silver with a weight of 1 ounce and a face value of 50 Rwandan Francs (RWF).The series, which has been issued since 2008, is very popular due to the interesting designs that change every year and the limited mintage. The coins in the series have a low mintage of approximately 1 000 pieces for each coin in the series, which further contributes to the uniqueness of the product. Coins in the African ounce series are packed in the original protective packaging (welded protective sleeve), so the coins are in excellent condition. The reverse of the coin depicts an adult hippopotamus with a juvenile. A topographical outline of the African continent is depicted above the animals. Above the drawing is the inscription "African ounce" and information about the year the coin was struck, as well as the weight and the sample of the bullion from which the coin was made.
