Rwanda: African Ounce - 15th Anniversary Mountain Gorilla 1 oz Silver 2023 is a unique product from the exclusive African Ounce collection created in 2008. The 2023 celebrates the 15th anniversary of the coinage. The aforementioned piece is already the seventeenth instalment of the collection.

The coin is minted in pure Ag.999 gold, weighing one troy ounce, with a diameter of 40 mm. The Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt is responsible for the issuance of the entire collection, while it is worth mentioning that the entire collection is guaranteed by the government of Rwanda and each coin is official tender in the issuing country.On the obverse is the emblem of Rwanda and the coin's face value.

The Rewers of the coin depict a family of mountain gorillas. Furthermore, a topographical outline of the African continent is depicted above the animals. Completing the whole are the inscriptions "AFRICAN OUNCE", "2008-2023" , 15TH ANNIV." as well as information on the weight, bullion sample and year of mintage of the coin.
