Perth Mint: Lunar III - Year of the Rabbit 2 oz Silver 2023
The coin was struck from Ag.9999 sterling silver, weighing 2 troy ounces and having a diameter of 50.6 mm. The Perth Mint, a renowned precious metals producer, is responsible for issuing the coin. The coin is guaranteed by the Government of Australia as to the legality and origin of the metal, as well as being fully legal tender in the issuer's country. The specimen features a micro-engraved lettering security feature on the reverse side.
The obverse of the Year of the Rabbit coin is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA". In addition, the obverse side features information on the face value, weight and minting sample of the coin, designed by Jody Clark. The Rewers depicts two rabbits. One has erect ears and the other is hopping towards a branch. The cylinder also shows the Chinese character for 'rabbit' and the year of minting. The designer was Ing Ing Jong.
