Perth Mint: Lunar III - Year of the Rabbit 1 oz Silver 2023 Proof Opal
The coin was struck in Ag.9999 sterling silver, weighing 1 troy ounce, to proof standard. The coin contains elements of opal. The collector's piece with the image of a rabbit is guaranteed by the Australian Government and is full legal tender in the issuer's country. The mintage of the product is only 5,000 pieces. It should be noted at this point that the silver coin comes in an elegant original packaging with an accompanying certificate of authenticity.
The obverse of the Year of the Rabbit silver coin is decorated with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark. The whole is surrounded by the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and information about the coin's face value. The Rewers includes an image of a rabbit made of opal. The design incorporates the inscription 'YEAR OF THE RABBIT' and the letter 'P', the mint mark of The Perth Mint, as well as information on the bullion proof, weight and mintage year. The designer was Natasha Muhl.
