Noah's Ark 1 oz Silver 2020
The Noah's Ark silver coin is a popular investment product, minted in one ounce weight and 999 bullion purity. This interesting currency is issued by the Central Bank of Armenia. However, the production process itself takes place at a private German mint - Leipziger Edelmetall Verarbeitung. Coins with the image of the Ark are guaranteed by the government of the Republic of Armenia as to their legality, purity of the sample and origin of the bullion, and are a full-fledged means of payment within the country.
The obverse of the coin, designed by Eduard Kurghinyan, depicts an ark on a rough sea, with Mount Ararat in the background, and we see the rising sun. The mountain is named after Ara, a Bronze Age idol. Ara was the god of death as well as rebirth. In the center of the coin is a dove in flight over the waters of the Flood, holding an olive branch in its beak. The inscription on the wound reads "Noah's ark", in English (Noah's ark).
The reverse of the coin depicts the Armenian coat of arms along with the minted denomination of 500 drams and the year of minting. On the right, below the coat of arms, the weight and the silver sample in which the coin was struck are shown. At the lower rim is the inscription "Republic of Armenia".
