The obverse of the coin depicts the Armenian coat of arms along with the minted denomination of 200 drams and the year of issue. To the right, below the coat of arms, are the weight and the silver sample in which the coin was struck. At the lower edge is the inscription 'Republic of Armenia'.

The Rewers of the coin, designed by Eduard Kurghinyan, depicts the ark on a rough sea, with Mount Ararat in the background and a rising sun.
