HMS Endeavour is an 18th century barque, built as a coal carrier, which belonged to the British Royal Navy. Aboard HMS Endeavour, James Cook made his first voyage around the world between 1768 and 1771, reaching New Zealand and Australia.The HMB Endeavour Proof silver coin with a limited mintage of 1,000 includes a 1 ounce weight and 999 proof. The coins are sold individually in a protective plastic cap with a certificate of authenticity.Obverse of the silver coin: Depicts the ship Endeavour with a stylised compass in the background. Above the shoulder is the inscription "Nautical Ounce", the year of issue, the proof and the weight of the coin.
