Millennium of Bolesław Chrobry's Coronation Gilded 10 PLN Silver 2025 Proof
The Millennium of the Coronation of Bolesław the Brave Gilded 10 zł Silver 2025 Proof is a unique numismatic offering presented by the National Bank of Poland.
The coin is made of the highest quality silver – Ag.999 – weighing 14.14 grams and measuring 32 mm in diameter. Struck in proof standard using a mirror-finish die, it features selective gilding to highlight specific design elements.
The reverse of the coin is especially eye-catching, based on a painting by Jan Matejko depicting the coronation of Bolesław the Brave. Gilded elements – including the crown – give it a distinctive character. The issue is strictly limited to a maximum of 10,000 pieces. Each coin comes in an elegant case with a certificate of authenticity.
Obverse of the coin presents a coronation scene of Bolesław the Brave, inspired by the Gniezno Doors, along with the image of the White Eagle from the national emblem of the Republic of Poland. It also features the inscription "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA", the face value (10 zł), and the year of issue – 2025.
Reverse depicts a composition inspired by Jan Matejko’s work, with a gilded crown and the inscription "TYSIĄCLECIE KORONACJI BOLESŁAWA CHROBREGO". The design emphasizes the significance of the first royal coronation in Polish history.
