Malta: Knights of the Past 1 Ounce Silver 2022 is the second piece to draw on the traditions of the Order of Malta and the most famous siege of Malta by the Ottoman Empire in 1565. The event is considered a watershed moment in the history of the country and Europe.

The silver coin was struck in pure Ag.9999 bullion, weighing 1 troy ounce and measuring 38.61 mm in diameter. The mintage of the product is 15,000 pieces. The coin was produced by Germania Mint, commissioned by the Central Bank of Malta. Each piece has an individual original packaging with a certificate of authenticity.

The obverse shows the Knights of Malta and an Ottoman soldier, the inscription "KNIGHTS OF THE PAST" and the denomination of the coin.

Rewers of the silver coin show the Coat of Arms of the Central Bank of Malta. The reverse also features the inscription 'MALTA' and information on the year of mintage, weight and purity of the bullion.
