Lunar III Year of the Mouse 1 kg Silver 2020

The Year of the Mouse silver coin, inspired by the Chinese lunar calendar, is the product that launches the Lunar III series. The coin is struck from 9999 fine pure silver with a total weight of 1,000 grams. The esteemed Perth Mint is responsible for producing this remarkable piece. Like the other items in the collection, the coin carries the guarantee of the Australian Government and is legal tender in the issuer’s country.

Obverse of the Year of the Mouse silver coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The design is encircled by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA”, and information on the face value, weight, and fineness.

Reverse contains an engraved portrait of two mice foraging among corn cobs. The excellent reverse design is by the talented designer Ing Ing Jong.
