The obverse depicts the Goddess of Liberty, facing left, surrounded by 13 stars. Below her is the year the coin was struck. The reverse features an image of a heraldic eagle with a shield on its chest. Above it, surrounded by 13 stars, is the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST.
