Leuchtturm - AurumXpert Precious Metal Tester allows for fast and safe analysis of gold, silver, and other precious metals without damaging the tested coins, bars, or other objects. The device can test through foil, capsules, or blisters and is ideal for bars and coins from ¼ ounce up to approximately 2 ounces.

Non-destructive conductivity measurement

AurumXpert uses inductive eddy-current measurement to assess an object's electrical conductivity. Centre a coin or bar on the measurement area, then compare the reading and tolerance range with reference data. The measurement penetrates up to about 1 mm and can work through film, a capsule or blister. The typical application range is from ¼ to around 2 ounces, depending on geometry and material.

Testing range and interpreting results

Conductivity measurement is one preliminary check, and an expected reading does not by itself prove authenticity. Compare it with weight, dimensions and reference data; valuable objects may warrant independent expert examination.

What is included and how to use it

The set includes the 58 × 72 × 31 mm tester, calibration piece, charger, instructions, reference table and fitted transport case. The lithium-polymer battery has a capacity of 1200 mAh.
