Krugerrand 1 oz Silver Random Years
Krugerrand is one of the most recognizable bullion coins in the world. This investment coin is made of silver, weighs one troy ounce, and has a fineness of .999. The Silver Krugerrand was first issued in 2017 as a commemorative release. Since 2018, silver coins featuring the springbok have been issued as regular investment bullion coins. Silver Krugerrands are minted in South Africa by Rand Refinery. They are legal tender and are guaranteed by the South African government in terms of their legality, metal purity, and origin. Interestingly, although Krugerrands are legal tender, they do not have a fixed face value. This means that the South African Reserve Bank is obliged to repurchase the coins at the prevailing market price of the precious metal. Krugerrand bullion coins are an excellent way to invest capital. Due to their high liquidity, both when buying and selling, they are recommended for all investors. The obverse features a portrait of Paul Kruger, while the surrounding inscription contains the words “South Africa” in Afrikaans and English. The reverse depicts a springbok antelope, a national symbol of South Africa. On either side of the springbok are the digits representing the year of issue, while below it appears the inscription “Fynsilwer 1oz fine silver r1”, indicating the fine silver content.Repurchase of the stock
