Kookaburra coloured 1 oz Silver 2025 (World Money Fair - Coin Show Special)
The 2025 Kookaburra Silver Coin is the latest edition of one of the most popular bullion series, the Australian Kookaburra. The coin, featuring the Australian kingfisher, is struck from pure Ag.9999 silver, weighing one troy ounce with a diameter of 40.9 mm. Its issuer remains the oldest Australian mint – the Perth Mint.
This colored coin was issued in celebration of the largest numismatic event, the World Money Fair, held from January 30 to February 1, 2025, in Berlin. The colored version of the Kookaburra has a strictly limited mintage of no more than 2,500 pieces, with each coin delivered in a card.
Obverse of the coin features the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and the inscriptions "CHARLES III", "AUSTRALIA". Additionally, the obverse contains information about the nominal value, weight, and purity of the coin.
Reverse depicts a seated kookaburra on a branch surrounded by radiant lines, along with information about the weight, metal purity, year of minting, and the letter "P," signifying the Perth Mint as the producer. The coin also features a red "Ampelmann" symbol and the inscription "35TH ANNIVERSARY." The designer was Sean Rogers.
