Collectors’ Silver Coin from the "Hetmans of Poland" Series – Stanisław Żółkiewski, 2025 is a commemorative silver coin honoring one of the most important figures in Polish history – Stanisław Żółkiewski, the Grand Crown Hetman, known for his bravery, military talents, and heroic death at the Battle of Cecora. Issued by the National Bank of Poland in 2025, it was struck with the highest mint quality – mirror finish and high relief technique. The coin is made of pure silver Ag.999, weighs 31.1 g, and has a diameter of 32 mm. The total mintage is only 8,000 pieces, making it a rare collector’s item for history and numismatics enthusiasts.

Żółkiewski was one of Poland’s greatest commanders. He gained fame as the commander of the Battle of Klushino in 1610, where he defeated much larger Muscovite-Swedish forces, opening the way for Polish troops to enter Moscow. He was a supporter of compromise and peace but showed extraordinary determination and strategy in times of danger. Holding the office of Grand Crown Chancellor, he combined military skill with diplomatic talent. His politics were guided by principles of public service and loyalty to the king and homeland. He died in 1620 under tragic circumstances at Cecora, defending Poland’s honor. His death and conduct in his final moments have remained a lasting symbol of courage and sacrifice.

Obverse features the crowned Polish eagle, the Hetman’s mace, the Lubicz coat of arms, and the denomination “10 zł”. To the right is the year “2025”, and above the inscription “POLAND”.

Reverse shows a portrait of Stanisław Żółkiewski in traditional attire, with a distinct face and characteristic mustache. On the right is a decorative floral motif. At the bottom is the inscription “STANISŁAW ŻÓŁKIEWSKI”.
