Gold Coin 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Constitutional Tribunal 25 zł 2010 Proof is a collector issue commemorating a quarter-century of activity of one of the most important institutions safeguarding the constitutionality of law in Poland.
The coin was struck in .900 fine gold (Au) and contains 0.9 g of pure gold. Its diameter is 12 mm, and the edge is smooth. It has a denomination of 25 zlotys and was produced in Proof quality, characterized by a mirror-like field and precisely rendered relief. The mintage is 5,000 pieces.
The issue was prepared in 2010 to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Constitutional Tribunal—the body responsible for reviewing the conformity of statutes and other legal acts with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
The coin’s design was created by Dominika Karpińska-Kopiec. The piece is delivered in a case together with a certificate of authenticity.
Obverse features a stylized paragraph symbol, as well as the image of the eagle prescribed for the emblem of the Republic of Poland, placed in the lower part of the composition. The inscriptions “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA,” the year of issue “2010,” the denomination “25 ZŁ,” and the mint mark “M/W” are also visible.
Reverse shows a stylized depiction of the entrance gate to the Constitutional Tribunal building. At the bottom there is a representation of a book, and the whole is surrounded by the inscription “25. ROCZNICA POWSTANIA TRYBUNAŁU KONSTYTUCYJNEGO.”
