Germania Mint: Norns – Werdanda 1 oz Silver 2026
Germania Mint: Norns – Werdanda 1 Ounce Silver 2026 is a collector coin from the Norns series, inspired by Norse mythology and the three goddesses of fate. The issue is dedicated to Werdanda, also known as Verdandi—the Norn of the present, symbolizing the current moment, action, and the conscious shaping of destiny.
The coin is struck from 1 ounce of .9999 fine silver in BU quality. The design by Kinga Sabatowicz stands out for its refined symbolism and precise rendering of details. A diameter of 38.61 mm allows the artistic composition to be fully showcased, characteristic of Germania Mint’s high minting standards.
Werdanda embodies the present—the moment in which decisions are made that have a real impact on the future. Her figure reminds us that fate is neither solely a record of the past nor a distant vision of tomorrow, but a dynamic process shaped through conscious choices made “here and now.”
The 2026 issue was released in a limited mintage of 5,000 pieces. Each coin is housed in a lens capsule and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, underscoring its collectible nature and attention to detail.
Obverse depicts Werdanda seated on a root of Yggdrasil. Her braids are interlaced like threads of fate, while the elegant robe and magical jewelry highlight her role as the guardian of the present and the importance of decisions made at any given moment.
Reverse features Germania Mint’s two-headed eagle surrounded by the roots of Yggdrasil and golden threads of fate. The broken threads symbolize the possibility of breaking with the past and consciously shaping one’s own destiny through actions in the present.
