Discover Poland - Tykocin 5 zł 2025 from the Mint Bag Coin (100 pcs)
The coin Discover Poland – Tykocin 5 zł 2025 Mint Bag (100 pieces) presents key monuments and places of exceptional historical significance. The Castle in Tykocin, picturesquely located on the banks of the Narew River, is one of the most beautiful aristocratic residences in Poland. Known for its refined interiors and surrounding gardens, it attracts tourists and history enthusiasts from around the world. Interestingly, it was King Sigismund Augustus's favorite castle—his body was kept there for nearly a year after his death before being moved to Wawel Castle. Today, the castle is open for tours and even offers the possibility to stay overnight.
The coin was minted in 2025: the ring is made of cupronickel and the core of aluminum-bronze-nickel alloy, with a total weight of 6.54 grams and a diameter of 24 mm. This collectible issue is limited to a maximum mintage of 1,000,000 pieces.
Obverse features the inscriptions "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" and "5 ZŁ" in a semicircle. At the bottom, the image of the eagle established as the emblem of the Republic of Poland is presented along with the year of issue.
Reverse depicts historic buildings in Tykocin.
