Cook Islands Bounty 1/2 oz Silver 2015
A silver HMS Bounty collector coin styled after the legendary ship from the novel The Bounty Mutiny. The mutiny that occurred in the Pacific ended with the surrender of the captain and 18 crew members. Forced to abandon ship, they were left in the middle of nowhere in a small lifeboat. After a murderous 3,500-mile swim, the captain eventually reaches safe land, from which he begins a search for the rebels. Coin created from .9999 pure silver and weighing 1/2 ounce. The condition of the coin is judged to be near-field condition, it bears traces of patina.
The obverse depicts the legendary ship HMS Bounty, below is information on the denomination, the proof and the weight of the coin.
