The Cook Islands Gold Coin: Ancient Greece - Pan 'Panticapaeum' 0.5 gram Gold 2023 Silk Coin is from the 'Ancient Greece' series. Pan is the god of the wilderness, shepherds and flocks and was originally worshipped in Arcadia. His name is derived from the word spaon, meaning shepherd. He is depicted as a lusty figure with goat-like features, resembling a faun or satyr.

The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 gold, weighing 0.5 grams, 11 mm in diameter, in silk standard. The mintage of the coin is 15,000 pieces. The product is full legal tender in the Cook Islands. The CIT Mint - Coin Invest AG is responsible for issuing the piece.

The obverse depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse also bears the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS" and the denomination and date of issue. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.

The Rewers shows the image of the Greek god Lord.
