Chiwoo Cheonwang considered a hero in both Chinese and Korean culture. The leader of the Nine Li tribe originating from ancient China. Chiwoo is recognised as one of the three legendary founding fathers of China and the 14th Shinshi Emperor, the first semi-legendary state, the cradle of the first Korean nation. The gold medal produced in South Korea by KOMSCO contains 99.9% gold and has a weight of 1/10 ounce.This is the second gold medal in the series to be included in the certipack and has a weight of 1/10 ounce.The obverse features the shield design of Chiwoo Cheonwang with the image of Dokkaebi, a unique mythical being from Korea called a ghost, monster or god, similar to the hob-goblin from Western culture.The reverse features the image of Chiwoo Cheonwang in military armour with a legendary sword in hand.
