Canadian Maple Leaf 31.19 grams of Silver 2023 (coin with visible flaw)

The Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin 2023 is another edition of the beloved investment series Maple Leaf, popular with buyers worldwide. The Canadian Maple Leaf is among the six most frequently chosen investment products. It has been produced continuously since 1988 by the renowned Royal Canadian Mint. Each coin, featuring Canada's botanical symbol, is minted from pure Ag.9999 silver, weighing 31.19 grams and measuring 38 mm in diameter. Additionally, every silver leaf is guaranteed by the Government of Canada and is a legal tender in the issuing country. The design of the silver coin, which has remained unchanged for years, was created by Walter Otto.

Since 2015, the silver coins have been part of the Bullion DNA Anti-Counterfeiting Technology program, which makes it easier to verify their authenticity. Furthermore, since 2018, the coins feature the MINTSHIELD™ surface protection, the world's first proven approach to reducing the occurrence of white spots. A significant feature is also the high liquidity of the silver leaf when buying/selling.

On the obverse of the silver bullion coin, there is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the denomination and year of mintage. Since 2014, additional security features are radiant lines on the background of the coin.

On the reverse, the maple leaf, Canada’s national symbol, is depicted, along with the coin's purity and the issuing country. Since 2014, the mint has further secured the coins by adding a miniature maple leaf with a micro-engraved mark in the lower right quadrant.
