Canada: Bald Eagle 1.5 oz Silver 2016
The 2016 1.5 oz Silver Canadian Silver Falcon is the fourth coin in the Canadian Wildlife series issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. It stands out due to its larger weight of 1.5 troy ounces and precise Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The coin commemorates the snowy falcon – a bird capable of fast flight and hunting using its beak, which distinguishes it from eagles and hawks. The product is minted from .9999 fine silver and has a face value of 8 Canadian dollars, guaranteed by the Government of Canada. The coin measures 38 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm in thickness. It features security elements such as a micro-engraved maple leaf with the year of issue and radial lines on the edge. It is supplied in a plastic capsule to protect its condition. Obverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in right profile, designed by Susanna Blunt. It also includes the coin’s denomination and the inscription “D.G. Regina”. Reverse depicts the snowy falcon in flight. Surrounding the image are inscriptions indicating the country of issue, year of minting, purity, and weight of the silver. Note! The product photo is for illustrative purposes only, and the actual appearance may slightly differ from the image shown.
