Buckingham Palace £5 Silver 2024 Proof Piedfort

The Princess Royal 75th Birthday £5 Silver 2025 Proof Piedfort is a unique collector coin issued to mark the 75th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne. Since reaching adulthood, Princess Anne has remained an active and devoted member of the British royal family, known for her extensive charitable work, passion for sport, and long-standing public service. This is the first official commemorative coin of this remarkable figure released by The Royal Mint.

The coin was struck from sterling silver (Ag.925), weighs 56.56 grams, and has a diameter of 38.61 mm, finished to the highest proof standard. The mintage is limited to only 860 pieces. It is legal tender in the United Kingdom and comes in original Royal Mint packaging.

Obverse features a portrait of King Charles III designed by Martin Jennings. Around the portrait are the inscriptions: “CHARLES III”, “D.G.REX.F.D.”, along with the year of issue and denomination.

Reverse shows the official coat of arms of Princess Anne along with her portrait by John Swannell. The design is complemented by the inscriptions: “THE PRINCESS ROYAL”, “CELEBRATING 75 YEARS” and “DUTY AND DEVOTION”. The artwork was created by Thomas T. Docherty and personally approved by Princess Anne.
