The silver Britannia is a bullion coin that ranks among the top best-selling and most popular bullion coins in the world. The sterling silver Britannia is minted from pure 999 bullion, weighing one troy ounce. The renowned European mint, The Royal Mint, is responsible for its production.

In 2021, The Royal Mint introduced new security features to its flagship Britannia product. The new security features are designed to make the silver currency more attractive for investment and reduce the possibility of counterfeiting.

The new security features of the silver Britannia are:

- A radiant background created by using a picosecond laser. The effect of the laser used is visible when the coin is rotated.

- Engraved security using an angular effect, where the image changes from a padlock to a trident.

- Application of the plaster technique (on the shield). The technique of plastering is based on indicating heraldic colors by means of symbols - lines.

- Micro-engraved inscription "DECUS ET TUTAMEN", which was made with specialized lasers and which is located above the head of the titular Britannia.

Obverse presents an image of Queen Elizabeth II of England wearing a crown. You can also find on it information about the nominal value of the stock.

Reverse depicts the traditional figure of Britannia, armed with a trident and shield. In addition, the reverse side features new security features and information about the purity of the bullion and the weight of the coin.
