The limited Africa’s Big Five series includes animals such as the elephant, lion, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard. The coin depicts a lion, considered the king of all African animals.

The coin is struck from pure Au.9999 gold, with a weight of 1/4 troy ounce and a diameter of 22 mm, in proof standard.
